Happy New Year to you all.
We hope you had a fabulous festive period and a very special solstice.
So, the special ‘end of the Mayan long count calendar’ date, 21st December 2012, has passed and we’re all still here. Now we can all breathe a big collective outbreath, relax and see what life really has to offer. In fact now we can really work towards making it whatever we want it to be.
If you managed to link in with others in meditation – keep up the regular meditation, just ten minutes a day can change your life for the better. If you spread the love for three days, along with Deepak Chopra and crew – keep doing it every day. Or if you were interested in what the indigenous Mayan people have to say about this shift of ages (there’s still time to see the film about it at http://www.shiftoftheages.com/watch-now/ ), then maybe you’d like to explore their wisdom further. There are so many possible routes to happiness, right now.
Whatever you did to mark the occasion, you joined millions around the world in celebrations at Stonehenge, Chichen Itza, Palenque, the Egyptian Pyramids, or in MedMobs in many cities, yoga classes, and many on their own, silently connected in a worldwide meditation moment. All of those involved were taking the opportunity, of a date the whole world was focused on, to tap into the unifying positivity around the planet, the connection between all humankind and nature including the sun, stars and galaxy beyond. Many people experienced true bliss, stillness, peace, love, unity with the collective consciousness evolving on this planet. And this is only the beginning of the ‘new age’ we’re all entering into, it could take more than a hundred years to fully unfold, but the seeds were sown in the weeks leading up to and on 21/12/12. So now we all have to move forward with that same positive vibration and make the world a better place.
Find what it is that really excites you and keeps you interested in the road ahead. Finding out more about the Mayan calendars, and living with them in Natural Time, might be a way for some of you. Following Natural Time and the 13Moon Mayan-inspired calendar – at the same time as living every day life with the Gregorian calendar we use in the West – is a way to feel a deep connection to nature, each other, and the love and harmony in our hearts and at our centre, every day.
Natural Time is the name given to the way of living by a 13Moon calendar, with 13 months of equal length – 28 days – which tie in with the cycles of the moon. By bringing ourselves back into balance with the moon’s cycles and other cycles in nature and the universe, we blossom, grow, evolve. Overlay the 13Moons (months) calendar with another symbolic calendar of 260 days – the Tzolkin – and you have a calendar which can transform your life by connecting you with the energy of each day and the present moment, yet aware of the symbolism and synchronicity manifesting itself in your life and showing you the way to reach your best potential.
As Lisa Star, expert in Natural Time says on her website www.resonant truth.com
‘Changing your calendar will change your life, and recharge it with humbling synchronicities and the kind of magic that music makes with its rhythms and harmonies. It will also give you strength, and courage, for challenges you may encounter. It will teach you to trust the present moment as a richly enchanted spell of time, and it will feel like coming into truth, a resonant truth, to connect your mechanised life back to nature, your waking life back to the dreamtime, your daily life to eons backward and forward of communion with the sun, moon and stars.’
It’s certainly something worth investigating, and could create lasting change in your life and the world at large if more and more people lived in Natural Time.
